I'm Shaun Docherty. I started Densifol in Hull because I was sick of paying someone else's markup on hair fibres.
The short version
I spent years buying overpriced fibre powder on subscriptions I could not get out of. Then I found out what the big brands actually pay for a bottle, and what they charge on top of it.
Then I gave up my job to compete on ITV's biggest new reality competition, The Summit, and won £38,000. I could have chased the telly work and the brand deals. Instead I put every penny into building a better version. Eight shades, twelve pounds a bottle, no lock-in. That is the whole company, and here is how I got here.
How we got here
The hat years
The hair started going and the hats went on, every single day. I would catch my reflection in a shop window and not recognise the bloke staring back.
The overpriced powder bill
Twenty-odd quid a bottle from the big brands, one after another. Auto-renewing subscriptions that were a pain to cancel. Years of it.
The Summit
I found out what the big brands pay for a bottle, and what they charge on top. Then I gave up my job, went on ITV's The Summit and won £38,000, and had a real choice. The telly work, or something that meant something.
Densifol, sold direct
Every penny went into a proper fibre. Eight shades, £12 a bottle, no lock-in. Every order ships direct from the UK.
Then it went national
In 2026, The Summit was named Best Competition Reality TV Show at the National Reality TV Awards, up against the biggest shows on British telly. I never set out to be on the telly. I set out to build an honest bottle of fibres. Turns out you can do both.
I still use fibres every morning
Here is the straight truth. Densifol is not a treatment. It does not create new density and it is not a cure for anything. It is coverage, plain and simple, fibres that cling to the hair you have already got.
That is why I still reach for fibres every morning for coverage through the crown. I built Densifol because I am the customer. The hats, the overpriced powders, the years of it, I have been through every stage.

Do better, and charge fairly
Too many men have been let down by overhyped, overpriced products that do not deliver. Everyone deserves fibres they can actually afford. Fibres that blend naturally, hold all day, and give real confidence back.
